Primary Purpose and Function
Guardian HR is a growing HR and Payroll services company seeking a talented Content & Marketing Coordinator to support our marketing team with writing, content production, campaign execution, and light design work. This position blends a writing-forward focus and campaign coordination with essential visual content creation and digital marketing execution duties. By transforming core marketing ideas into ready-to-publish emails, landing pages, downloadable resources, and graphics, this hands-on production role ensures seamless corporate workflows and an exceptional brand experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Writing & Content Production
- Campaign & Inbox Copy: Write highly engaging marketing emails and nurture campaigns.
- Educational Content: Draft professional newsletter copy, blog posts, and educational content.
- Digital & Social Copy: Create landing page copy, website copy, ad copy, and social media captions.
- Content Optimization: Edit, improve, and repurpose existing long-form content into multiple digital formats.
- Quality Assurance: Proofread and QA all marketing content before final publication.
Creative & Design Responsibilities
- Branded Graphics: Create simple branded graphics, including email headers, social posts, one-pagers, and checklists.
- Asset Production: Design light production marketing assets using Canva or similar tools.
- Format & Layout: Format downloadable guides and user-facing PDFs.
- Multi-Channel Adaptation: Resize and adapt existing graphics across multiple digital channels.
- Visual Consistency: Maintain brand colors, fonts, and strict visual consistency when preparing visuals for email and web publishing.
Campaign & Marketing Execution
- Email Platform Management: Build, format, and schedule email campaigns in Keap (formerly Infusionsoft) and Zoho Campaigns.
- Marketing Automation: Create and maintain marketing automations, workflows, segments, tags, and lists within Keap and Zoho CRM.
- Web Publishing: Publish and update website content in WordPress, assisting directly with landing page creation and edits.
- Pre-Launch Validation: Rigorously QA emails, landing pages, and automations before system launch.
- Asset Organization: Help manage content calendars and keep digital marketing assets structurally organized.
Marketing Operations & Innovation
- Reporting & Insights: Assist with lead management and campaign performance reporting within Zoho CRM utilizing marketing data.
- Process Improvement: Participate regularly in team meetings to analyze lead feedback, evaluate content metrics, and recommend process or retention improvements.
- Workflow Evaluation: Continuously evaluate existing marketing production workflows to identify bottlenecks, offering innovative solutions to streamline and simplify workflows.
- Scalability: Partner with leadership to introduce technology that eliminates data lags, ensuring our marketing and financial operations can seamlessly scale alongside our rapid company growth.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Organizational Excellence: Strong organizational and time-management skills with a proven track record of prioritizing high-volume tasks, managing deadlines, remaining detail-oriented, and following through independently.
- Professional Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored for a B2B or professional services client-facing environment, with a strong mastery of writing and copy-editing.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience managing email marketing platforms and CRM systems. Advanced proficiency with Keap, Zoho Campaigns, Zoho CRM, HubSpot, WordPress, and Canva is highly preferred.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Service-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable learning new marketing technology platforms and troubleshooting basic technical or automation workflow issues.
Physical Requirements
Work is predominantly performed in a home office environment and requires the ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer keyboard and mouse proficiently, and have good near vision for close-up work. Must have the ability to walk short distances and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials. Occasional light lifting may be required.
Summary
Supervision & Training
This role reports directly to and is under the supervision of the Marketing Director / Senior Leadership Team.
Other Information
Location: Hybrid remote (Based out of 16830 Ventura Blvd Ste 326, Encino, CA 91436).
Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week. Position requires a fixed schedule of 6 hours per day from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday. This role offers a clear, long-term opportunity to transition into a full-time, 40 hours per week position.
Travel: This position requires the ability to go on 1–2 business trips per year.
Pay Scale: $30–35.00 per hour
