Location Requirement:

100% Remote. You must live in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zone and work on a Pacific Time schedule. Candidates based in California will not be considered at this time.

Requirements

What You'll Do:

As an HR Consultant for Guardian HR, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, delivering crucial HR guidance via phone and email. You will leverage your deep understanding of multi-state compliance and HR best practices to solve complex, real-world issues for businesses of all sizes and industries across all 50 states. Your goal is to be a strategic and proactive problem-solver, helping this dynamic roster navigate the complex world of HR.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve Client Inquiries: Research and answer a high volume of diverse, complex HR questions, providing prompt, accurate, and compliant guidance.
  • Maintain Real-Time Records: Document all client consultations, interactions, and follow-ups live in our CRM to keep our records clean, updated, and highly organized.
  • Conduct Client Research: Perform initial background research on client accounts and external requests to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Follow Standard Workflows: Consistently use our standardized workflows and apply the “GHR Method” to ensure reporting accuracy and clear, streamlined client communications.
  • Collaborate Internationally & Locally: Partner closely with our internal team of HR Consultants to share knowledge and maintain consistent, high-quality service.
  • Review HR Documents: Review and update client-facing materials—including policies, employee handbooks, and communications—to align with current state and federal laws.
  • Update Our Resources: Help maintain and build our HR forms library by adding new content and updating existing templates.
  • Support Special Projects: Take on additional HR projects and tasks as directed by management.

What You'll Bring:

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, highly articulate HR professional who thrives in an independent, high-volume remote setting.

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on HR experience showing a deep understanding of HR principles and best practices.
  • Compliance Expertise: Proven multi-state HR experience is required! You must feel confident researching and applying complex employment laws across various jurisdictions.
  • AI & Tech Forward: You embrace AI and are excited to learn how to work with AI tools to increase your efficiency, while always keeping the empathy and personal touch that defines great HR.
  • Work Ethic: A service-oriented, problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage a high-volume desk efficiently.
  • Growth Mindset: Strong professional accountability, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to act on constructive feedback.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for simplifying complex compliance concepts for clients.
  • Tech Savviness: Comfortable working across multiple software systems simultaneously, with strict adherence to file-saving protocols. Advanced knowledge in MS Word and Outlook.
  • Superb Organization: Outstanding research skills, sharp attention to detail, and top-tier time-management habits.

  • A reliable, high-speed home internet connection.

Supervision & Training

You will report directly to and receive supervision from our Consulting Leadership Team.
